The first version of tomi’s SuperApp launching by the end of Q1 2025, will include a decentralized chat platform and an integrated crypto payment rail for convenient digital asset transactions
The Internet, January 14, 2024 — tomi, the Web3 infrastructure project creating a decentralized alternative internet ecosystem, releases a roadmap for its upcoming tomi SuperApp detailing seven phases, with new products and features being added throughout 2025 and into 2026. Currently under development, the tomi SuperApp is an all-in-one platform connecting users to tomi’s decentralized web infrastructure where privacy, security, and convenience are prioritized, in contrast with the current Web 2.0 model.
tomi’s ecosystem leverages decentralized technologies to prioritize data ownership, uncensored communication, and financial independence. The tomi SuperApp provides Web3 natives, content creators, and general internet users an accessible gateway to a decentralized, private, and secure internet ecosystem. Within the app, users will be able to correspond, transfer payments, browse, and more.
The first phase of the app’s rollout will come during the first quarter of 2025, providing a few core products geared towards crypto-natives and privacy advocates. These features include a decentralized chat platform to send secure, encrypted communications and a peer-to-peer payment rail for seamless transactions.
While the first phase provides a base layer for secure communications and transactions in a decentralized environment, the second phase introduces fully encrypted private group chats to enhance the tomi SuperApp’s communication capabilities. The second phase, to be released in Q2, also includes advanced permission controls and strengthening group management.
Phase three will be released in Q3, with a new phase released each subsequent quarter, culminating with the seventh and final release in Q3 of 2026. Below is a brief outline highlighting phases three through seven of the tomi SuperApp’s roadmap:
- Phase 3: Includes rollout of customizable user profiles and the ability to manage public and private models for more personalized experiences.
- Phase 4: Includes a secure, privacy-focused decentralized browser and built-in VPN, allowing anonymous browsing to help users in regions where information is censored to gain unrestricted access.
- Phase 5: Includes tools for decentralized governance and decision-making in Web3 communities and the integration of DAO capabilities.
- Phase 6: Features the launch of a developer portal for building and integrating mini decentralized apps. Additionally, this phase will provide software development kits (SDKs) and other developer tools to empower open-source participation in the expansion of the ecosystem.
- Phase 7: The final phase will include decentralized voice call functionality and support for individual and group video calls to enhance collaboration.
“Our super app will become synonymous with the tomi brand, serving as a single application capable of providing the benefits of Web3 within an accessible, integrated environment, for both Web3 and Web 2.0 users,” says Ron Gal, General Manager of tomi. “We are thrilled to provide our community with an updated roadmap of the tomi SuperApp’s launch, including the key features and tools that will enable anyone to safely engage with the decentralized web. Given the scale of the project, the app’s release will be phased, allowing users to get a taste of our secure and privacy-oriented ecosystem as we steadily integrate more features.”
